David Kikoski est un pianiste de jazz de renommée mondiale.
Après avoir obtenu son diplôme à l'école de musique de Berklee, Roy Haynes l'a invité à rejoindre le Roy’s all star comprenant Dave Holland, Roy Hargrove et Kenny Garrett pour enregistrer et partir en tournée.
Le groupe « Birds of a feather » (Roy Haynes, Nicholas Payton, Christian Mc Bride) a reçu une nomination aux Grammy Awards en 2004.
Il est également membre de longue date du Charles Mingus Big Band et a remporté le Grammy Award 2010 du meilleur album d'ensemble de jazz pour "Mingus Big Band Live At Jazz Standard".
Au fil des ans, il a réalisé plus de 120 enregistrements et a joué avec les Brecker Brothers, Joe Henderson, Al Foster, John Scofield, Chick Corea, Pat Metheny, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Kurt Rosenwinkel et bien d'autres.
David Kikoski is a world-renowed jazz pianist. After graduating Berklee School of Music, Roy Haynes invited him to join Roy's all-star lineup including Dave Holland, Roy Hargrove and Kenny Garrett to record and tour.Their band, "Birds of a feather" went on tour extensively with Christian McBride and Nicholas Payton. Birds of a feather received a grammy nomination in 2004.He is also a long-time member of the Charles Mingus Big Bandand won the 2010 grammy awardBest Large Jazz Ensemble Album for "Mingus Big Band Live At Jazz Standard".
